I have been struggling to emerge into this bloggersphere and I finally realized why. The best blogs are guided by one's passion and for me that answer is quite simple...FITNESS. For my entire life, but specifically for the past 1 1/2 years, I have been on a journey to find the "fit chick" that was hiding under some adipose tissue and latent motivation.
Last year, before my Spring Break trip to Punta Cana, I challenged myself to workout 90% of the days from when I booked the trip (42 days). Simple math: I needed to workout 6 of 7 days most weeks and some weeks, I ended up working out all 7 days. Do not try this at home. I acknowledge that for some of you that rarely work out that would be way too much, unless you are on the Biggest Loser. Well, despite the struggles, I made it and saw incredible results and I really kicked my metabolism into high gear. Not only that, I discovered a renewed love of exercise during this time. I had to find interesting and innovative ways to blast fat and did just that. Exercise should not totally feel like some chore but an invigorating experience. I am an endorphin junkie
Long story short, I strongly believe that exercise is a huge component of wellness and finding new ways to reach your health goals is vital!
In 2010, I want to share my fitness findings with the world. Hopefully it will encourage some couch warmers to get moving, those of you that already work out to try something new and those that need some encouragement and motivation, to find just that!
